Redmi Note 8 Goes Offline, But With Only 3GB Of Ram

The Redmi Note 8 is now available to purchase through retail stores. Unlike online sellers, Xiaomi is offering a new 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant of the Redmi Note 8 through offline stores. The new variant retails for Rs 9,799. For reference, the 4GB + 64GB storage model costs Rs 9,999, but it is only available to purchase through e-sellers. Xiaomi hasn’t revealed if it is planning to launch the new model in online stores yet.

Redmi Note 8 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ screen with a dot drop notch. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset. The offline variant has 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It packs a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. However, it is now receiving the MIUI 11 update, which is still based on Android 9 Pie. It may be upgraded to Android 10 in the first quarter of 2020.
