COVID-19: As per the latest reports coming in, Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Jug Jugg Jeeyo director Raj Mehta have reportedly tested positive for COVID 19 amid shooting in Chandigarh. As per a report in Filmfare, a source close to the film project told the entertainment portal that Anil, Neetu, Varun along with Raj have been tested positive for the novel coronavirus and that the shoot has been halted.
While the stars have not yet confirmed the same, the portal claimed that a source close to shooting informed them. The Filmfare report also mentioned that the shoot that had commenced last month has been put on hold until Varun, Neetu, Anil and director Raj are healthy again. Just a few weeks back, a video of Neetu Kapoor taking the COVID 19 test on the sets had gone viral and often, the senior star gave fans a glimpse of the precautions being taken on the sets of the film including the crew wearing PPE suits, masks and gloves.
However, now, if the report by Filmfare is anything to go by, then the leading cast along with the director have been apparently infected with COVID 19.
While work on the set is being carried out with all the safety guidelines, one can never be too safe. A source close to the project has revealed to us that three members from the film’s leading cast – Neetu Kapoor and Varun Dhawan and even the director Raj Mehta have tested positive for COVID-19. While initial reports claimed that Anil Kapoor too had tested positive for the virus, we’ve just learnt that the actor has tested negative. Obviously, the shooting has been put on hold until the actors are back to their healthy self.
